The striker whose goals fired Atletico Madrid to an unlikely 2013-14 league title ahead of Spanish superpowers Barcelona and Real Madrid, Costa was born in Brazil and even played for the Selecao before controversially switching allegiances to Spain before the 2014 World Cup. He joined Chelsea later that summer as the perceived missing piece of their title-winning jigsaw.
