Monday 14th November 2022, His Excellency, Rt Hon Emeka Ihedioha CON played host to the structural heads of Ihedioha Re-election Movement Owerri Zone, led by Ikeduru born Politician and Businessman, Sir Bon Unachukwu who came on a solidarity visit.

In his speech, Sir Unachukwu, a former Zonal Chairman of PDP and former Imo State Commissioner for Lands stated that Ihedioha Reelection Movement is an organisation of Like minds in Owerri Zone, who came together to galvanize and mobilize support for the Reelection of the truly elected Governor of Imo State, Rt Hon Emeka Ihedioha in the November 11 2023 Imo Gubernatorial polls.

Sir Bon Unachukwu highlighted that the impacts made by the Rebuild Imo Administration of Rt Hon Emeka Ihedioha within seven months before his unjust removal triggered the inspiration of these like minds to desire and work for the actualisation of his deserved Reelection bid.

LGA and Ward facilitative heads of the Reelection Movement and representatives of other affiliate organisation such as Imo Women on the Move, 2019 IMC Chairmen and Members, Ihedioha Youth Movement, Ihedioha New Media Center, Ihedioha Young Ladies and many others tooks turns to highlight their activities while reiterating their commitment to delivery for the project to Rebuild Imo.

In his response, Rt Hon Emeka Ihedioha thanked all the groups to for their solidarity on the project to enthron good governance in Imo State. Ihedioha noted that their quest to seek for his reelection is the true desire of the generality of Imo people.

"Under my watch as Governor, Imo people felt the true impact of good governance across the state. We shifted the power base to the grassroots, we reorganized the financial system in the state and enthroned transparency. Teachers and pensioners were paid, we initiated critical road infrastructure projects. Our revival of the sports sector made the Minister of Sports to declare that federal government will copy the Imo model in sports. These and many more are the reasons why Imo people are earnestly yearning for our return, what you seek is the desire of Imo people" Ihedioha stated.

The PDP Candidate for Imo East Senatorial District, Barr Uche Onyeagucha, Member representing Ahiazu Mbaise/Ezinihitte Federal Constituency, Hon Emeka Martins Chinedu, Minority Leader Imo State House of Assembly, Hon Anyadike Nwosu and other notable speakers at the meeting sequencially declared their full support for the project while making several digress of commitments.

Other Stakeholders at the meeting includes the Member Representing Owerri North in Imo House of Assembly, Hon Philip Ejiogu,  House of Representatives Candidate for Aboh Mbaise Ngor Okpala Federal Constituency, Engr Albert Agulanna, House of Assembly candidates for Aboh, Ahiazu, Ngor Okpala and Owerri West State Constituencies, Hon Ugom Amuchie, Engr Rex Okoro, Hon Kingsley Odionyemma and Hon Rogers Nwoke respectively; LGA party Chairmen among others.
